Internet performance issues
If your school experiences internet issues:
A nominated contact should log a support case via the LGfL Support Site (USO will be needed), or ring 0208 255 5555
If LGfL's monitoring reports a circuit down at a school:
An automated email is sent to all nominated contacts that are registered to the specific site
A manual alert is also sent to nominated contacts via email and text (if a number has been provided on the USO site)
In both cases, LGfL / Adept will ask for some triage information, so it is essential the nominated contacts monitor the support site for requests and responses:
LGfL / Adept ask the nominated contact if there is any known local reason for the down circuit, i.e. is the power off at school (LGfL also check via UK Power website to check for local power issues)
Checks are sent via a support case asking nominated contact to check which lights are showing on the network termination unit, router and firewall
If all local checks are clear, Adept will notify VMB / BT to do checks on the circuit
